Thisprocedureisvalidforboththereturnlter(1)and
thecasedrainlter(2).
1.Removetheboltsandwashersattachingtheltercap.
Removethelterelementfromthelterhousing.
2.Replacetheelementwithanewelement.Besureto
reinstallallgaskets.IfgasketsorO-ringsaredeterio-
rated,replacewithnewparts.
3.Replacethelterassemblyintothehousing,being
carefultolineituptoproperlyseatthelterassembly
inthehousing.
4.Placetheholdingspringonthehubofthecap.Make
suretoreinstalltheO-ringseal.Reinstallthecapand
tightenthenuts,beingsurethespringandO-ringare
properlyseatedsothesuctionltersealstothefaceof
thelterhousing.
