Makesuresteps,ladders,andplatformsremainclean
andclearofdebrisandforeignsubstances.Injurymay
resultfromslipperysurfaces.
Facethemachinewhenmountinganddismounting.
Maintainathree-pointcontactwithsteps,ladders,and
handholds.
Nevermountordismountfromamovingmachine.
Donotusethesteeringwheelorothercontrolsoracces-
soriesashandholdswhenenteringorexitingthecabor
operator’splatform.
Workingatheights
Whenthenormaluseandmaintenanceofthemachine
requiresworkingatheights:

Correctlyuseinstalledsteps,ladders,andrailings.
•
Neveruseladders,steps,orrailingswhilethemachine
ismoving.
•
Donotstandonsurfaceswhicharenotdesignatedas
stepsorplatforms.
Donotusethemachineasalift,ladder,orplatformfor
workingatheights.
Spraying
•
Besuretocleanandushallresidualchemicalsfrom
thesprayerbeforechangingtoanothertypeofchemi-
cal.Onsomemodels,itmaybenecessarytoremove
theendcapsfromthespraybarstothoroughlyushthe
boomplumbing.Insomecasesadecontaminationso-
lutionisrecommendedbythechemicalmanufacturer.

Alwaysfollowchemicalmanufacturerssafetyinstruc-
tionswhenmixingandapplyingherbicidesandchemi-
calstopreventseriousharmtopeopleortheenviron-
ment.

licensing,handling,storage,transportation,application
