thismanual.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorseriousinjury.

NOTICE:Neverextendsuspensioncylindersononesidetofullstrokeandthenextendthesuspensioncylinderson
theothersidetofullstroke.Alwaysleaveatleasthalfthecylinderstrokeinthecylinder.Cylinderhasatotalstroke
ofapproximately8in.
NOTICE:VehiclesuspensioncylindersareNOTtobeusedforjackingpurposes.
NOTE:Thisadjustmentrequirestwopeople,oneshouldremainintheoperatorscabwhilethesecondpersonadjusts
thesuspension.Useextremecautionwhileperformingthisprocedure.
1.Starttheengine.Makesureyouareonlevelground.
Reducetheenginespeedtoidle.
2.Releasetheparkingbrake.
3.Havethepersononthegroundloosenthejamnuts(1)
ateachlinkagerod(2),thendetachthetworight-hand
andtwoleft-handsidesuspensionvalvelinkagerods
fromthevalvearms(3).Allowtherodstorestinthe
bottomoftheguideslots.
4.Actuateeachvalvearmmanuallyforeoraftuntilthere
is4inofunpaintedsuspensioncylinderrod(5)ex-
posedoneachofthefoursuspensioncylinders.
NOTICE:Actuatingagivencylindermayaffecttheex-
posedrodlengthoftheopposite(diagonal)cylinder.
5.Aftersettingallfourcylindersto4inrechecktheother
cylinders.Repeatasrequireduntiltheexposedrodon
allfourcylindersremainsat4in.
6.Reattachthelinkagerodstothevalvearms,adjusting
thelengthofeachlinkagerodbyturningtheclevison
eachrod.Eachrodshouldbeadjustedsuchthatthe
retainerpincanbereinsertedthroughtheclevis(4)and
valvearmballwithoutshiftingeitherthevalvearmball
orthelinkage(valvearmballandclevisarealigned).
7.Inserttheretainerpinthroughtheclevisandvalvearm
ballandsecureinplace.Tightenthejamnutsagainst
eachclevistoholdinplace.
