1.Openthefrontengineaccessdoor.Thelter(1)is
mountedtothefrontsideoftheengine.
2.Placeacontainerunderthefuellter.Usealter
wrenchtoremovetheoldlter.Turntheltercounter-
clockwiseasviewedfromthebaseofthelter.Lightly
oilthesealonthenewlter.Installthelterbyturningit
clockwiseuntilthesealcontactsthelterhead.Tighten
thelteranadditional1/2to3/4turnbyhand.
NOTICE:Donotusealterwrenchtoinstallthefuellter.
3.Installanewlter.Applyclearoilorgreasetothegas-
ketonthenewlter.Turnthelterclockwiseasviewed
fromthebottomuntiltheltergasketcomesincontact
withthelterhead.Useyourhandtotighten1/2turn.
Togetacorrectseal,loosenlterandagaintighten1/2
to3/4turnafterthegasketcomesincontactwiththe
lterhead.

Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorseri-

5.Closethefrontengineaccessdoorswhencomplete.
