Flowmeter
1.Removetheowmeterfromthesprayerandushwith
cleanwatertoremoveanychemicals.
2.Removetheangeboltsorclampfromtheowmeter.
3.Removetheturbinehubandturbinefrominsidethe
owmeter.
4.Cleantheturbinehubofmetallingsandanyother
foreignmaterialsuchaswettablepowders.Conrm
thattheturbinebladesarenotworn.Holdturbineand
turbinehubinyourhandandspinturbine.Itshouldspin
freelywithverylittledrag.
5.Iftransducer(XDCR)assemblyisreplacedorifturbine
studisadjustedorreplaced,verifytheturbinetbefore
reassembling.Holdturbinehubwithturbineontrans-
ducer.Spinturbinebyblowingonit.Tightenturbine
stubuntilturbinestalls.Loosenturbinestud1/3turn.
Theturbineshouldspinfreely.

6.Reassembletheowmeter.
7.Usingalowpressure34.5kPa(5psi)jetofair,verify
thattheturbinespinsfreely.Ifthereisdrag,loosen
thehexstudonthebottomoftheturbinehub1/16turn
incrementsatatimeuntiltheturbinespinsfreely.
8.Iftheturbinespinsfreelyandifthecableshave
checkedoutper“FlowMeterCableTest”shownon
7-101,butowmeterstillisnottotalizingproperly,
replacetheowmetertransducer.
NOTE:Iftheowmeterhasbeendisassembled,theunit
willhavetobecalibrated.RefertotheRavenoperators
manualreferencingtheprocess.
