onlyinanemergency.Thebrakingactionisabrupt.

ParkBrake
Wheneverparkingtheunit,theparkingbrakemustbeen-
gaged.Theparkingbrakecontrolswitchislocatedonthe
rightcontrolpanel.Whentheparkbrakeisapplied,the
switchwillturnblue.Whentheparkbrakeisdisengaged
theswitchwillturnyellow.Applytheparkingbrakeby
pressingtheswitch.Whentheparkbrakeisapplied,the
ladderwilllower.
Hydraulicpressureisrequiredtodisengagethepark
brake.Iftheengineand/orhydraulicsystemareinopera-
bleandthemachinemustbemoved,specialprocedures
mustbefollowedtodisengagetheparkbrake.Seeyour
dealerfortheseprocedures.
NOTE:Theparkingbrakeswitch(1)mustbeintheen-
gagedpositionwhenstartingthemachine.Themachine
willnotstartiftheparkbrakeisdisengaged.Afterthema-
chineisstartedtheparkingbrakemustbedisengagedfor
themachinetomove.
NOTE:Theoorbrakepedalmustbeengagedinorder
fortheparkbraketobereleased.Thisisonlyrequiredat
eachinitialenginestart.
NOTE:Alwaysapplytheparkingbrakewhenvehicleis
stopped.Settingtheparkbrakewillalsolowertheladder.
Disengagingtheparkbrakewillraisetheladder.
