Tostarttheengine,turntheignitionswitch(1)totheon
position.Pushtheenginestart/stopbutton(2)tostartthe
engine.
Tostoptheengineonlyandleavetheelectricalsystem
activepushtheenginestart/stopbutton(2).Usethisway
ofstoppingtheengineifthereisaneedtocheckafault
codeortheneedtoleavetheelectricalsystemactive.Be
suretoturntheignitionswitch(1)offbeforeleavingthe
cab.
Tostoptheengineandshuttingthecompleteelectrical
systemdownturntheignitionswitchtotheoffposition.
Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchwheneverthe
vehicleisleftunattended.
Tohavetheelectricalsystemlivewithouttheenginerun-
ningsimplyturntheignitionswitchtotheonposition.

NOTE:Thebatterydisconnectandtheignitionswitch
mustbeintheonpositionortheenginerunningforthe
lightsonthisvehicletooperate.
Hazardasherswitch
Thehazardasherswitch(1)controlstwoamberlights
inthefrontfendersandtwodouble—facedamberlights
locatedontherearboomrests.
Toturnthehazardlightson,presstheswitch.
Toturnthehazardlightsoff,presstheswitchagain.
Alwaysusethehazardlightswhentravelingonpublic
roads.
Theamberlightsarealsoconnectedtotheturnsignal
leverandwillcomeonwhentheturnsignalsareactivated.
