Troubleshooting
Message Cause Solution
USB device initialization failure.
• Turn off the main power to the machine
and turn it on after a while.
If the same error message appears
again, contact your local distributor to call
for service.
Occurrence of a time out error on a
USB device.
An excessive load was applied to the X
motor.
An excessive load was applied to the Y
motor.
An error due to an excessive current of
the X motor was detected.
An error due to an excessive current of
the Y motor was detected.
An error was detected in the take-up
tension bar at media set check when
starting printing.
• Check the media set status, and solve
the problem.
An error was detected in the feeding
tension bar at media set check when
starting printing.
• Check the media set status, and solve

An error occurred in the take-up status
of the take-up unit.
• Check that the media can be taken up to
the take-up unit.
• Check that the paper core taking up the
media does not run idle.

of the feeding unit.
• Check that the media can be taken up to

The take-up cover opened during print-

• Close the take-up cover.
