5.3 Gas Supply Tests
5.3.1 O2 Supply Test
Remove the O2 cylinder from the yoke before performing this test.
1. Open the Backup AIR/O2 door to let the machine enter the BFCS work mode.
2. Fully open the O2 needle valve.
3. Observe the float of the total flowmeter, which should be at the top of the flowmeter.
4. Disconnect the O2 pipeline supply.
5. Verify that the alarms of O2 Supply Failure and Drive Gas Pressure Low occur with the
decrease of O2 pressure.
6. Check that the O2 supply pressure reading decreases to zero.
7. Close the O2 needle valve, and close the Backup AIR/O2 door.
8. Reconnect the O2 pipeline supply.
5.3.2 N2O Supply Test
Remove the N2O cylinder from the yoke before performing this test.
1. Set the balance gas to N2O. Set the ventilation mode to the manual mode.
2. Adjust the N2O flow to 1 L/min.
3. Disconnect the N2O pipeline supply.
4. Verify that the alarms of N2O Supply Failure occur with the decrease of N2O pressure.
5. Verify that the N2O supply pressure reading decreases to zero.
6. Reconnect the N2O pipeline supply.
5.3.3 AIR Supply Test
Remove the AIR cylinder from the yoke before performing this test.
1. Open the Backup AIR/O2 door to let the machine enter the BFCS work mode.
2. Fully open the AIR needle valve.
3. Observe the float of the total flowmeter, which should be at the top of the flowmeter.
4. Disconnect the AIR pipeline supply.
5. Verify that the AIR supply pressure reading decreases to zero.
6. Close the AIR needle valve, and close the Backup AIR/O2 door.
