Place a cart
To place a cart, the robot needs at least 0.5 m of space to either side of the cart. In addition,
it cannot safely place the cart closer than 0.25 m to any obstacles behind the cart. However,
the robot can pick up a cart placed closer than 0.25 m to any obstacles behind it.
The robot is able to place and pick up carts at an angle of less than between the cart and
the robot.
Figure 9.23. Minimum free space required around the cart to safely place it.
Place a cart in reverse
The commissioner is responsible for ensuring that under normal operation, MiR100 Hook
has enough space to place the cart. The space required is a square in front of the position
equal to the total length of the robot and cart plus 0.5 m (the same required square area
when turning a corner). This is shown in Figure 9.24.
