ANAGING CALLS DIRECTORY
Managing Calls
The 6905 has several features that make it easier to manage calls, and to keep track of your caller history
as well as your business and personal contacts.
These features include:
Directory
Callers List
DND and Call Forward
Directory
The Directory is your personal phone book, conveniently stored within your phone. The 6905 IP phone
supports enhanced Directory functionality allowing for interoperability with multiple directory sources (i.e.
Local Directory, Corporate and Personal CSV directories, LDAP, Microsoft Exchange, Xsi Enterprise
Directory, Xsi Personal Contacts, Xsi Enterprise Common Phone List, Xsi Group Directory, and Xsi Group
Common Phone List).

General Directory Functions

Accessing and Navigating the Directory
1. Press the programmed Directory key.
2. You can view the various Directory sources by pressing to scroll through the list.
3. Press Enter to enter a Directory source and press to scroll through the list of contacts.
4. To dial the displayed number press or just lift the handset or press any Line key.
5. Press the programmed Directory key or key to cancel.
Performing a Search
Search functionality is applied across all the available and enabled directories. After entering the Search
menu, inputting the first few letters of the contact’s name, and then pressing 2 Search, you can quickly
select a contact and perform the desired action.
