CUSTOMIZING YOUR PHONE DIRECTORY
DIRECTORY
You can configure directory entries to display using the contact’s first name and then last name or vice
versa. Moreover, the option to sort contacts using either their first name or last name is available. If
external Directory sources are configured, you can enable/disable the respective Directory sources as
well as rename Directory folder labels in this menu.
NOTE: For more information on Directory functionality, see “Directory”
CONFIGURING DIRECTORY DISPLAY AND SORTING OPTIONS USING THE
IP PHONE UI
1. Press on the phone to enter the Options List.
2. Select Directory.
3. Navigate to Display Name Order and select Enter.
4. Use the keys to and choose the desired display name order and press the button or select
Set.
The display name order you selected is immediately applied to the phone.
5. Navigate to Sorting Preferences and select Enter.
6. Use the keys to and choose the desired sorting preference and press the button or select
Set.
The sorting preference you selected is immediately applied to the phone.
ENABLING/DISABLING DIRECTORIES AND RENAMING LABELS USING THE
IP PHONE UI
NOTE: This option is only available if external Directory sources have been configured by your Adminis-
trator.
1. Press on the phone to enter the Options List.
2. Select Directory.
3. Navigate to External Sources and select Enter.
4. Use the keys to navigate through the list of Directory sources and select Enter.
5. Navigate to State and press the Enter key.
6. Use the keys to and choose the desired state and press the button or select key
Set.
