6. Define the following parameters for either the inbound or outbound IP Firewall Rules:
Allow Every IP Firewall rule is made up of matching criteria rules. The action
defines what to do with the packet if it matches the specified criteria. The
following actions are supported:
Deny— Instructs the Firewall to not to allow a packet to proceed to its
destination.
Permit—Instructs the Firewall to allow a packet to proceed to its
destination.
Source Enter both Source and Destination IP addresses. The device uses the
source IP address, destination IP address and IP protocol type as basic
matching criteria. The access policy filter can also include other
parameters specific to a protocol type (like source and destination port for
TCP/UDP protocol. Provide a subnet mask if needed.
Protocol Select the protocol used with the IP access policy from the drop-down
menu. IP is selected by default. Selecting ICMP displays an additional set
of ICMP specific Options for ICMP Type and code. Selecting either TCP or
UDP displays an additional set of specific TCP/UDP source and
destinations port options.
