Also, ensure the ambient temperature meets the operation guarantee conditions. If the error continues, contact your service representative.

  If the data cartridge doesn't eject when pressing the EJECT button, the backup software might have locked the drive. Try closing the software. You can also try restarting the system or turning the power off and on. If the system detects a drive failure, it might prevent ejection; in this case, try restarting the system or turning the power off and on. If software was used for ejection but the cartridge didn't eject, execute the software ejection again, then press the EJECT button.

  If the NEC Computer Hardware fails to start the OS, check the BIOS configuration of the CPU blade and change the boot order using the BIOS SETUP utility. Also, check for a floppy disk in the floppy disk drive and remove it before restarting the CPU blade. If the OS is broken, use the recovery process to restore the system. If the system doesn’t restart automatically, restart it manually.

  If your backup software recognizes the drive but backing up isn't working, try the following: Replace the data cartridge with a new one. Ensure you're using the correct data cartridge and that the drive and cartridge combination is correct (e.g., don't use an LTO1 cartridge in an LTO4 drive). Use a cartridge guaranteed for operation (like an N or EF model). Verify the cartridge's life hasn't ended and that no errors have occurred with it. If the drive was moved from a different temperature/humidity environment, let it adjust before use. Avoid immediate backups after system startup in non-air-conditioned environments; allow sufficient adjustment time. Finally, double-check your backup software settings for any errors.
