7.5 Connection of a rotary encoder
Proceed as follows when connecting the encoder:
} The encoder can be connected via an adapter (e.g. PNOZ msi6p) or directly to the PNOZ
s30.
} Use only shielded cables for all connections. Please refer to the chapter entitled "EMC-
compliant wiring".
} Always connect GND on the encoder to GND on the RJ45 connector.
INFORMATION
The following diagrams are principle connection diagrams. For better clarity,
the shielding and supply voltage are not shown.
