Slide Scanner Repair Manual Calibration and Adjustments
Notes: If the slide scanner is properly focused, the oscilloscope displays the
waveform signal (Figure 3-12) of the focus and magnification target for one
color channel. Amplitude of all line pair sets should all be uniform.
If the slide scanner is not properly focused, the oscilloscope displays the
waveform signal (Figure 3-12 of the focus and magnification target for one color
channel. Amplitude of all line pair sets are not uniform.
Table 3-2 lists and defines the causes of non-uniformity (incorrect focus).

Cause Corrective Action
Lens not adjusted properly Adjust lens position.
Slide holder assembly warped Replace slide holder assembly.
Defective lens Replace lens.
