9. If not focused properly, adjust lens as follows:
Using a 1.5mm hex wrench, loosen the setscrew (Figure 3-13) that secures and
positions the lens in its lens block assembly.
Using your fingers, slightly reposition the lens in or out until the amplitude of all line
pair sets in the waveform signal are uniform (Figure 3-12).
Hint: One method of adjusting the position of the lens is by using two pencils. Place
one eraser tip on the left side of the lens and the other on the right side of the
lens. This method provides a finer control of the lens movement.
CAUTION
Make sure the metal at the eraser tip of the pencil is properly insulated.
