Start request is not
processed
A start request is not processed if any of the following conditions occur:
• The AUTOCAL function is active.
• The temperature controller indicates a fault.
• The setpoint is lower than 40°C.
• The RESET signal is active.
The alarm relay is switched if the START signal is activated while a warning with error
code 104…106, 111…114, 211, 302, or 303 is indicated. Heating no longer occurs.
Information on the warnings with the respective error codes can be found in section
Error messages [}84].
Heating time limit
To prevent damage to the heating element, the duration of heatup is limited to five
seconds in the temperature controller. Heatup ends automatically when this time limit
is exceeded.
8.3 Inputs and outputs
8.3.1 RESET signal
The RESET signal is used to reset the temperature, if the temperature controller
shows a fault.
No AUTOCAL or START requests are accepted as long as the RESET signal is active
set. Only error codes 201…203, 901, 913 are evaluated and output by the error diag-
nosis function. The power unit is not activated in this state. The temperature controller
does not generate any measuring pulses. As a result, the actual value is no longer up-
dated. The reset request is not processed until the RESET signal is deactivated.
Behavior
While the RESET signal is being activated, the actual value output goes to 0…3°C
(approx. 0VDC). Also, the temperature controller display shows "External RESET sig-
nal active" when the RESET signal is active.
Execution of the AUTOCAL function is not disrupted by activation of the RESET sig-
nal.
After the RESET signal is deactivated, the temperature controller performs internal ini-
tialization for approx. 500ms. The next sealing process cannot be started until this is
completed.
If a Kb contactor is used to deactivate the control loop, it must be reliably energized
again 200ms at the latest after the RESET signal is reset.
Note the contactor switching and delay times. If it is energized too late, an error mes-
sage appears on the temperature controller.
The restart delay can be adjusted as needed for the contactor. Information can be
found in section Restart delay after reset [}58].
Information on the contactor Kb to shut off the control loop can be found in section
Power supply [}22].
