Performing a sensor trim with a Field Communicator
From the HOME screen, enter the Fast Key sequence and follow the steps within the Field
Communicator to complete the sensor trim.
To calibrate the sensor with a Field Communicator using the sensor trim function, perform
the following procedure:
1. Select 2: Lower Sensor Trim.
Note
Select pressure points so that lower and upper values are equal to or outside the expected
process operation range. This can be done by going to“Rerange the transmitter” on page 13
of Section 2.
2. Follow the commands provided by the Field Communicator to complete the adjustment
of the lower value.
3. Select 3: Upper Sensor Trim.
4. Follow the commands provided by the Field Communicator to complete the adjustment
of the upper value.
Performing a sensor trim with AMS Device Manager
Right select the device and, under the Method drop down menu, move cursor over Calibrate
and, under Sensor Trim, select Lower Sensor Trim.
1. Follow the screen prompts to perform a Sensor Trim using AMS Device Manager.
2. If desired, right select the device and under the Method drop down menu, move cursor
over Calibrate and under Sensor Trim and select Upper Sensor Trim
Performing a sensor trim using local operator interface
Perform an upper and lower Sensor trim by referencing Figure 5-3.
