VERVIEW
Some versions of the SEL-387E family of relays support Distributed Network Protocol (DNP3)
L2 Slave protocol. This includes access to metering data, protection elements (Relay Word),
contact I/O, targets, Sequential Events Recorder, breaker monitor, relay summary event reports,
settings groups, and time synchronization. The SEL-387E supports DNP point remapping and
virtual terminal object.

ONFIGURATION
To configure a port for DNP, set the port PROTO setting to DNP. Although DNP may be
selected on any of the available ports, DNP may not be enabled on more than one port at a time.
The following information is required to configure a port for DNP operation:
