Manual – MOVIDRIVE® MDX61B Safety Module MOVISAFE® DCS..B Option
7
Procedure
Validation
7 Validation
To make sure that the implemented safety functions function correctly, the user must
check and document the parameters and connections after startup and configuration.
This is supported in the MOVISAFE
®
Assist/Config software in the form of a configura-
tion report.
The concept for the DCS..B option is based on the following prerequisites: Parameter
and PLC data stored in the flash memory of the DCS..B option cannot change automat-
ically. Online tests and corresponding signatures ensure this by implementing basic
measures on the DCS..B option. However, the configuration cannot be evaluated by the
DCS..B option. This concerns the parameterization for the sensors, thresholds and limit
values.
7.1 Procedure
After successful startup, the user must confirm that the data of the configuation report
matches the parameters on the DCS..B option. The user must validate and protocol the
values parameterized for the measuring section, sensors and monitoring functions
individually by performing a function test. In addition, the user must validate and protocol
the connection of each programmed PLC function in the DCS31B option by inspecting
the code. SEW-EURODRIVE recommends to design the controller in such a way that
the limit values of the DCS..B option can be tested.
7.2 Configuration report for validation
7.2.1 Structure of the configuration report
The file contains the following information:
Three pages with header data that can be edited
Encoder configuration
Parameters of the monitoring functions
The IL code of the programmed PLC functions (only for DCS31B)
7.2.2 Creating the configuration report
The MOVISAFE
®
Assist/Config software interface lets you generate an individual
configuration report and save it as a text file (.txt). The text file is created using the file
name and path of the current parameter/programming data set. Depending on the
application software, the text file can be printed in DIN A4 landscape format.
