4.1 HiPath 1100 Installation
About this Chapter
This chapter contains information on:
● Setting up HiPath 1100 systems. More information on additional equipment and
expansions can be found in the “List of Modules” on page 3-2.
● Configuration (installation of modules).
Tools and Equipment Required
The following tools are required for installing a HiPath 1100 system:
– Cutters and flat nose pliers
– Standard screwdriver
– Phillips screwdriver
– Tool for attaching wires to the Main Distribution Frame
– Drill
– Hammer
–Level
– Tape measure
– Digital multimeter for checking power and ground connections.

Only authorized technical personnel should install this system.
