Safety information
This manual contains information that must be observed to ensure your personal safety and to prevent
property damage. Notices referring to your personal safety are highlighted in the manual by a safety alert
symbol; notices referring to property damage only have no safety alert symbol, and, depending on the
degree of hazard, represented as shown below:

Danger
indicates that death or serious injury will result if proper precautions are not taken.

indicates that death or serious injury may result if proper precautions are not taken.

Caution
with a warning triangle indicates that minor personal injury can result if proper precautions are not taken.
Caution
without a safety alert symbol, indicates that property damage can result if proper precautions are not taken.

If several hazards of different degrees occur, the hazard with the highest degree must always be given
priority. A warning notice accompanied by a safety alert symbol indicating a risk of bodily injury can also
indicate a risk of property damage.
Qualified personnel
The associated device/system must only be set up and operated using this documentation. Only qualified
personnel should be allowed to commission and operate the device/system. Qualified persons are defined
as persons who are authorized to commission, to ground, and to tag circuits, equipment, and systems in
accordance with established safety practices and standards.
