5.1 Selecting / starting a part program “Machine” operating area
Functionality
Before starting the program, make sure that both the control system and the machine are
set up. Observe the relevant safety notes of the machine manufacturer.
Operating sequence
Select the AUTOMATIC mode using the <AUTOMATIC> key on the machine control panel.
The Program Manager is opened. Use the <NC directory> (default selection) or the <Cus-
tomer CF card> softkey to obtain access to the appropriate directories.

Position the cursor bar on the desired program.
Use the <Run> (NC directory) or <Run on external device> softkey (with CF card) to se-
lect the program for execution. The name of the selected program is displayed in the “Pro-
gram name” screen line.
If desired, here you can specify how you want the program to be executed.
