Update Firmware and Configuration
The firmware and configuration can be updated directly via USB flash driver.
Do the following steps to update the firmware:
1. Insert the USB flash driver which with the firmware and the configure files inside into
the USB host interface on the front panel of the oscilloscope.
2. Press the Utility button on the front panel to enter the UTILITY function menu.
3. Press the Next Page softkey to go to the second page of the UTILITY function menu.
4. Press the Next Page softkey to go to the third page of the UTILITY function menu.
5. Press the Update softkey to enter the UPDATE function menu.
6. Press the Firmware softkey to open the file manager.
7. Turn the Universal Knob to select the update file which should be with an ADS postfix;
and then press the Press to Update softkey to start update the firmware. The process
needs about 7 minutes. And during the update, do not remove power to the
oscilloscope, otherwise the oscilloscope may be permanently damaged and may not
restart again.
8. After finish the update, the screen will pop-out the message “Firmware
decompressed. Please restart and wait…”.
9. Restart the oscilloscope to finish the firmware update.

1. Insert the USB flash driver which with the firmware and the configure files inside into
the USB host interface on the front panel of the oscilloscope.
2. Press the Utility button on the front panel to enter the UTILITY function menu.
3. Press the Next Page softkey to go to the second page of the UTILITY function menu.
4. Press the Next Page softkey to go to the third page of the UTILITY function menu.
5. Press the Update softkey to enter the UPDATE function menu.
6. Press the Configure softkey to open the file manager.
7. Turn the Universal Knob to select the update file ( *.CFG file extension) and then
press the Press to Update softkey to start update the firmware. The process needs
about 30 seconds.
8. After finish the update, the screen will pop-out the message “Firmware
decompressed. Please restart and wait…”.
9. Restart the oscilloscope to finish the configuration update.
