7.UsetheInfoCenterdisplaytosetreelspeedcontroltothefullspeedsetting.
Ensurethatthemow/backlapleveronthemowcontrolmanifoldisinthe
MOWposition.
8.Starttheengineandrunitatlow-idlespeed.Checkforhydraulic-uidleaks
fromthetestconnectionsandcorrectbeforecontinuingthetest.
CAUTION
Theadjacentcuttingunitreelswillrotatewhenyouperformthe
cross-overreliefpressuretest.Keepawayfromcuttingunitsduring
thetesttopreventpersonalinjuryfromtherotatingreelblades.Do
notstandinfrontofthemachine.
Note:Thistestrequires2people(oneintheseatandoneatthecutting
reelmotor).
9.Sitontheseatwiththeenginerunning,presstheenginespeedtolowspeed
(1,175to1,225rpm)position.UsetheInfoCentertocheckthattheengine
speediscorrect.PressthereelengageswitchtoONposition,andengage
thecuttingunits.
10.Thereshouldbeaslighthesitationinpressureincreaseontheinletsideof
motorasthecross-overreliefvalveopens.Recordthepressurereadingon
boththeinletandoutletsidepressuregauges.
11.Disengagethecuttingunitsandshutofftheengine.
12.Calculatethepressuredifferentialbetweenthe2gauges.Ifthepressure
differentialisnotapproximately10,000kPa(1,450psi),thecross-overrelief
valvesonthetestedmotormaybeleakingordamaged.Inspecttherelief
valvesinthereelmotorandreplaceifnecessary;refertoServicingthe
CuttingReelMotor(Casappa)(page6–205).
13.Afteryoucompletethetesting,releasethecuttingunithydraulicsystem
pressure;refertoReleasingPressurefromtheHydraulicSystem(page6–8).
Removethepressuregaugesandteettingsfromthemachine.Connectthe
hydraulichosestothereelmotorttings.
14.Ifnecessary,testthecross-overreliefpressureonothercuttingreelmotors.
IMPORTANT
Whentestingmorethanonecuttingunitmotor,checkandadjustthe
hydraulic-uidlevelinthetankaftertestingeachmotor.
15.Whentestingiscomplete,starttheengine,checkforhydraulic-uidleaks,
repairanyleaksasnecessary,andllthehydraulictankwiththecorrect
quantityofnewhydraulicuidbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
