TheexhaustsystemusedinReelmasterrequiresadieselexhaustparticulate
lter(DPF).TheDPFincludesaDieselOxidationCatalyst(DOC),aSoot
Filter(SF),atemperaturesensor,andapressuredifferentialsensor.Under
normalcircumstances,thedieseloxidationcatalystrequiresreplacementat
approximately6,000hours.Undernormalcircumstances,thesootlterrequires
reconditioningorreplacementatapproximately6,000hours.Reconditioningthe
sootlterrequiresspecialequipmentandshouldonlybedonebyacompany
familiarwiththereconditioningprocess.AnalarmtimerintheengineECUmust
beresetwhenthesootlterisreconditionedorreplaced.ContactanAuthorized
ToroDistributorforassistance.

removing,andinstallingtheDPFanditscomponents.Thefollowingprocedures
describeremovingandinstallingtheremainderoftheexhaustsystem(not
includingthedieselexhaustparticulatelter(DPF).

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdecks,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
