FrontWheelMotorTests
Hydraulicuidowsthroughbothfrontwheelmotors(inparallel)beforepassing
throughtherearwheelmotor(inseries).Toaccuratelytestthefrontwheel
motors,therearwheelmotormustberemovedfromthetractioncircuit.

1.Disconnectthehosefromthelowerhydraulicttingonthebottomofthe
hydrostat(Figure40).
Note:Analternatetestinglocationwouldbeatthehydraulictubesupplying
thefrontwheelmotorsundertheleftoorplate.
2.Installtheowtesterbetweenthehydrostatandthedisconnectedhydraulic
line.Makesurethatthetesterowcontrolvalveisfullyopen.
3.Disconnectbothhydrauliclinesfromtherearwheelmotor,thenreconnectthe
linestoeachother.Plugportsinthewheelmotortopreventcontamination.
4.Chockthefrontwheelstopreventwheelrotation.
5.Starttheengine.Movethrottletofullspeed(2650±50RPM).
6.Makesurethatthehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperatureby
operatingthemachineforapproximately10minutes.Makesurethatthe
hydraulictankisfull.
7.Verifywithaphototachthatthepumpspeedisapproximately3100RPM.
CAUTION
Useextremecautionwhenperformingwheelmotortests.Thewheel
motorswillbetryingtomovethemachineforward.
