7.Installthebedbarpivotboltassemblies:
A.Pusheachbedbarpivotboltthroughthesideplateandintothebedbar
enoughtoholdthebedbarinposition.
IMPORTANT
DoNotuseapoweredwrenchoranimpactwrenchtoinstallthe
bedbarpivotbolts.
B.Startthreadingofoneofthepivotboltsintothebedbarandcontinueuntil
thepivotboltbottomsout.Repeatforremainingpivotbolt.
C.Makesurethatplasticwashersarenotcaughtonthethreadsofthe
pivotbolts.
D.Tighteneachbedbarpivotboltfrom37to44N·m(27to33ft-lbs).
8.Tightenbothlocknuts(item10inFigure169)untiloutsidemetalwasherjust
rotates.Donotovertightenthelocknutsasthiscandistortthesideplates
andaffectreeltobedknifecontact,orinthecaseofcuttingunitswithpainted
sideplates,reelbearingadjustment.Theplasticwasherbetweenthebedbar
andsideplateshouldbeloose.
9.Tightenthelocknut(item2)oneachbedbaradjusterassemblyuntilthe
adjusterspringisfullycompressed,thenloosenlocknut1/2turn.
10.Adjustcuttingunit(refertoCuttingUnitOperator’sManual).
11.Installcuttingunittomachine.
