Operatingthecuttingunitwiththebedknifebelowtheservicelimit
mayresultinpoorafter-cutappearanceandreducethestructural
integrityofthebedknifeforimpacts.
Whengrindingthebedknife,becarefultonotoverheatthebedknife.Remove
smallamountsofmaterialwitheachpassofthegrinder.Also,cleananddress
grindingstoneoftenduringthegrindingprocess.
Note:EdgeMax®bedknivesareextremelyhard.Usingadiamondgrinding
wheelisrecommendedtopreventoverheatingordamagingthebedknifeedge
whilegrinding.
Becausethetopgrindangleonbedknivesiscriticalforedgeretention,and
thereforeafter-cutappearance,Torohasdevelopedspecialservicetoolsfor
accuratelymeasuringthetopgrindangleonallbedknives;refertotheAngle
IndicatorandMagneticMountintheSpecialTools(page2–13).
