Jump-starting the engine
Explosion hazard in case of incorrect handling of battery!
Incorrect battery handling can cause serious injuries or death.
► Never jump start the engine if the battery is malfunctioning or frozen.
► Fire, open flames and smoking is prohibited.
Burn hazard due to hot engine parts!
Can cause severe burns.
► Stop the engine and let it cool down.
► Wear protective equipment.
Injury hazard due to rotating parts!
Rotating parts can cause serious injuries or death.
► Open the engine cover only at engine standstill.
Damage to machine due to electrical short-circuit or overvoltage.
► The positive terminal of the starting battery must not be brought into
contact with electrically conductive vehicle parts.
Damage to machine due to higher battery voltage.
► Only use batteries with the same voltage (12 V).
Damage to the electrical system of the machine.
► The vehicles must not touch each other during the starting aid.
Damage to consumers of vehicle with discharged battery due to voltage
peaks.
► Switch off all consumers.
