10.7.4 Servicing the air lter system
The loader is equipped with a dry air lter for ltering the
engine intake air. The dry air lter consists of a main lter
and a safety lter element. To access the dry air lter, open
the engine enclosure.
WARNING
Crushing/shearing hazard.
Moving engine parts can crush and cut.
Do not open the engine enclosure unless the
engine is stopped to avoid hazards from moving
objects (cooling fan and drive belts for the fan
and alternator).
Burn hazard.
Engine components can get very hot during op-
eration.
Do not touch the engine mass, exhaust system,
or cooling system immediately after stopping
the engine.
Wait until the stopped engine has cooled to the
point that the exhaust system, engine mass and
cooling system are comfortable to touch
Service the air lter according to the inspection
intervals specied in this Operator’s Manual.
Dirty, contaminated air entering the engine will
cause damage and reduce performance.
Never let the engine run if parts of the air intake
system are removed.
Replace damaged air lters immediately.
