5.2.6 Starting the engine
•
Due to the high viscosity in the hydraulic sys-
tem at temperatures below 0°C (32°F), major
machine damage can occur when the speed is
increased immediately.
• Let the engine run at a low speed at tempera-
tures below 0°C (32°F) until the hydraulic uid
is warm enough to permit smooth responsive
operation.
• The lower the outside temperature, the longer
the warm-up phase.
• Observe the hydrolter‘s pressure display.
• Do not under any circumstances tow-start the
loader to start the engine. This could damage
the hydraulic system.
• Turn off the engine immediately if the warning
lights do not go out when the engine is running.
•
Have the malfunction rectied immediately. Do
not use the loader again until the malfunction
has been rectied.
•
Do not suddenly turn off the engine from full
load, but rather allow it to idle for 3 minutes be-
fore turning it off it to equalize the temperature.
•
Check that no one is in the loader‘s danger area.
• Do not use ether as a starting aid.
•
Do not use the loader if the »starter inhibitor«
does not function.
• Only start the loader from the operator’s seat.
