The ProofMaster and ProofMaster PRO software versions
differ in how they are used.
The ProofMaster software version includes only Preset programs
[}Page60].
Possible configurations
There are two possible configurations:
• PC single user configuration. (WiCoTRACE Lite with local database);
• PC network configuration. (WiCoTRACE Server or Server+ with central
database).
In both configurations, the communication is via a local Ethernet
network. The ProofMaster should be connected accordingly in
accordance with the section Network [}Page27] .
PC single user
configuration
ü The WiCoTRACE 3 Lite software must be installed on the PC.
You can find WiCoTRACE 3 Lite on the USB stick supplied.
a) Install the WicoTrace software on the PC.
ð To do this, see the documentation "WiCoTRACE 3
Installationshandbuch.pdf".
b) Connect the PC to the Ethernet network using an Ethernet cable.
c) Read off and note down the IP address of the PC.
ð Example: 169.254.100.100.
d) SMX-Service must be started in the Cockpit (System/Applications).
It is recommended to activate the "Start automatically" option.
ð The Cockpit and the SMX must be started so that the
ProofMaster can communicate with the database on the PC.
PC network configuration
The WiCoTRACE database must be installed on a server. In addition,
WiCoTRACE must be installed on a PC single user station so that
measuring programs can be created and the results analysed.
a) Install the database on a server with db3 setup.exe (the
"Additional services" option must be activated) and install
WiCoTRACE on a PC single user station with w3isnt.exe.
ð To do this, see the documentation "WiCoTRACE 3
Installationshandbuch.pdf".
b) Read off and note down the IP address of the server.
ProofMaster
Note: The subnet mask must enable communication between the IP
address of the PC or the server IP address of the ProofMaster.
a) The network settings must be configured in the ProofMaster, see
Network [}Page100].
ð Example: The ProofMaster uses an automatic DHCP
connection.
b) Connect the ProofMaster to the local network using an Ethernet
cable.
The ProofMaster must be configured for use with the WiCoTRACE
software.
