Service Parts Disassembly
Feed Roller
(PL3.2.4)
1. Remove the Tray.
2. Open the Front Cover.
Caution
Do not expose the drums on the Imaging Unit to light for more than 5
minutes. Cover the drums to avoid damage.
3. Remove the Imaging Unit (page 8-8)
4. Reach in through the opening in the bottom of the imaging unit cavity and
release the hook on the left side Roller Core. Move the Roller Core to the
left side.
5. Move the Feed Roller to the left, so that the grooves in the Feed Roller are
clear of the pins on the Feed Shaft.
6. Rotate the Feed Roller 180° on the Feed Shaft and allow the Feed Roller
to drop off the shaft.
Reassembly Note
Because there are grooves in only in one side of the Feed Roller, it fits over
the pins on the Feed Shaft in only one direction. Note the location of the
grooves when installing the Feed Roller on the shaft.
