USB Interface 10 - 9
USB Ignore Unknown Characters
This option applies only to the USB Keyboard HID device and IBM device. Unknown characters are characters
the host does not recognize. Select Send Bar Codes With Unknown Characters to send all bar code data
except for unknown characters. No error beeps sound. When Do Not Send Bar Codes With Unknown
Characters is selected, for IBM devices, bar codes containing at least one unknown character are not sent to
the host, and an error beep sounds. For USB Keyboard HID devices, the bar code characters up to the
unknown character are sent, and an error beep sounds.
Emulate Keypad
Enable this to send all characters as ASCII sequences over the numeric keypad. For example ASCII A is sent
as “ALT make” 0 6 5 “ALT Break”. This allows support for other country variants.
