Wiring the Auxiliary Relay
The auxiliary relay cannot be supervised. It is typically used for annunciating burglary alarms,
resetting 4-wire smoke detectors, elevator recall, or other situations that do not require the supervision
of the wiring. Be sure to set jumper P3 for either wet or dry operation.
Figure 6-2
shows how to wire the auxiliary relay to operate an unsupervised external alarm sounder.
Short pins 1 and 2 on P3 for wet operation for this application. See the

for the wiring of the auxiliary relay for 4-wire smoke detector reset operation.
