BRAKE TROUBLESHOOTING
8. Position the left hand master cylinder aligned with dot mark
on handle bar.
9. Install parking lever on handlebars. Torque mounting bolts
to 5Nm. Torque the top bolt first.
BRAKE SQUEAL

â—Ž Glazed brake pads
POOR VRAKE PERFORMANCE

â—Ž Water in system (brake fluid contaminated)
â—Ž Caliper/disc misaligned
â—Ž Caliper dirty or damaged
â—Ž Brake line damaged or lining ruptured
â—Ž Worn disc and/or friction pads
â—Ž Incorrectly adjusted lever
â—Ž Incorrectly adjusted stationary pad
â—Ž Worn or damaged master cylinder or components
â—Ž Improper clearance between lever and switch
LEVER VIBRATION
â—Ž Disc damaged
â—Ž Disc worn (run out or thickness variance exceeds service
limit)
â—Ž Caliper Overheats (Brakes Drag)
â—Ž Compensating port plugged
â—Ž Pad clearance set incorrectly
â—Ž Auxiliary brake pedal incorrectly adjusted
â—Ž Brake lever or pedal binding or unable to return fully
â—Ž Parking brake left on
â—Ž Residue build up under caliper seals
â—Ž Operator riding brakes
BRAKES LOCK

â—Ž Fluid overfill of the reservoir
