To determine the PLC for a specified range and resolution, locate the range in the left column. Measurement units do
not apply (i.e. for 1 V or 1 A, use the 1 range; for 100 V or 100 Ω, use the 100 range). From the range value, follow the
corresponding row of resolutions to the right until the specified resolution lies within two adjacent columns for your
DMM model.
The NPLC value at the top of the left-adjacent column is the NPLC "setting" for the given range and resolution.
For example: for the 34461A, a specified 10 VDC range and 10 µV resolution, locate range 10 in the table. Moving to
the right, the 10 µV resolution (1E-5) is found in the column under 10 NPLC.
