DISPlay Subsystem
This subsystem controls the instrument's display.

DISPlay[:STATe]?
Disables or enables the front-panel display. When disabled, the display dims, and all annunciators are disabled.
However, the screen remains on.

Turn display off:
DISP OFF
l Disabling the display improves command execution speed from the remote interface and provides basic security.
l Sending DISPlay:TEXT <string> will display the text even with DISP:STAT OFF.
l The display is enabled when power is cycled, or when you return to local (front-panel) operation by pressing the
[Local] key.

Displays a text message on the front-panel display.

A quoted string of up to 40 characters. You can use letters (A-Z), numbers (0-9) and special
characters such as @, %, *, and so forth.

l Sending DISPlay:TEXT <string> will display the text even with DISP:STAT OFF.
l While a message is displayed, information relating to the current instrument operation is not sent to the front-
panel display.
l The display text is unaffected by *RST. It is cleared at power-on.
