Ohms Gain Calibration
Review Test Considerations and Gain Adjustment Considerations before beginning this procedure.
Configuration: 4-Wire Ohms
This procedure adjusts the gain for the 2-wire and 4-wire Ohms functions, and the offset compensated Ohms function.
The 100 MΩ range gain is derived from the 10 MΩ range and does not have a separate adjustment point.
1. Configure each function and range in the order shown in the table below.
2. Apply the input signal shown in the Input column.
3. Enter the actual applied input resistance (see Entering Adjustment Values). A Calibration Step Succeeded
message indicates success; if the display shows Calibration Step Failed, check the input value, range, function, and
entered adjustment value and repeat the adjustment step.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for each gain adjustment point shown in the table.
5. Store the new calibration constants (see Storing the Calibration Constants).
6. Verify the Ohms Gain adjustments.
Each range takes less than 4 seconds to complete.
