Local-Lucent NSAP address fields
The Local-Lucent NSAP address format has the following fields:
Field Function It Provides
Area Address Has two predefined parts:
AFI (Authority and Format Identifier) field, equal to 49 (HEX).
Area Id indicates the area to which a node belongs and thus its logical
location in the network.
System Identifier
(SID)
Identifies the node. In most network element types, the Ethernet address is
copied into the SID address field and this makes the NSAP address unique
throughout the DCN.
Selector (Sel) Set to 01 (HEX) for the network elements.
There is no fixed part in this address type.
