Parameters ipv6-address — Specify the IPv6 address of the DNS server(s), up to 4 max. Specified as eight 16-
bit hexadecimal pieces.

Context config>router>router-advertisement>interface>dns-options
Description This command enables the Recursive DNS Server (RDNSS) Option in router advertisements. This
must be enabled for each interface on which the RDNSS option is required in router advertisement
messages.
The no form of the command disables the RDNSS option in router advertisements.
Default disabled
rdnss-lifetime
Syntax rdnss-lifetime {seconds | infinite}
no rdnss-lifetime
Context config>router>router-advertisement>dns-options
config>router>router-advertisement>interface>dns-options
Description This command specifies the maximum time that the RDNSS address may be used for name resolution
by the client. The RDNSS Lifetime must be no more than twice MaxRtrAdvLifetime with a maximum
of 3600 seconds.
Default infinite
Parameters infinite — specifies an infinite RDNSS lifetime.
seconds — Specifies the time in seconds.
Values 4 to 3600
interface
Syntax [no] interface ip-int-name
Context config>router>router-advertisement
Description This command configures router advertisement properties on a specific interface. The interface must
already exist in the config>router>interface context.
