Section 2 Block Diagram and Basic Explanation
2-2
Fig. 2-1 shows the general block diagram.
2.1 Signal Flow
MAIN Input route
An RF signal input to the MAIN connector is branched by the Power Divider. It is
then attenuated by 15 dB and supplied to the A09 RF INTERFACE (RF I/F).
The RF signal input to the A09 RF/IF, is split to the following 3 routes.
One is to the Power Sensor, another one is to the A/D CONVERTER, and the rest is
to the A32 Demod RF.
The RF signal to A32 Demod RF, passes through the Mixer, the Demodulator, and
the A/D Converter; and then is converted to the digital IQ signal. This digital IQ
signal data is analyzed by the A30 CDMA BASEBAND.
The Power Sensor outputs the voltage in proportion to the input power, amplifies it
by the A12 IF circuit, and sends the amplified voltage to the A01 MAIN CPU.
An input signal (sent from the A09 RF/IF to the A10 CONVERTER) is output to the
A12 IF via the 1st and 2nd Mixers. Upon receipt of the input signal, the A12 IF
converts its frequency to 3rd IF, and analog-to-digital(A/D) converts the waveform
to analyze it by the A04 DEMOD DSP.
MAIN Output route (TDMA system)
Modulation data generated by the A30 CDMA BASEBAND is converted to the I/Q
signal by the A31 CDMA IQ, and is sent to the A13 SG1. The A13 SG1 converts the
frequency of the IF signal (modulated to I/Q) by the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Mixers, then
outputs it to the A09 RF/IF.
The RF signal output from the A09 RF/IF, is attenuated by 20 dB at the Power Di-
vider, and then is output to the MAIN connector.
AUX Input route
An input signal is input to the A09 RF/IF without being attenuated by 20 dB.
AUX Output route
Since this output signal is output from the A09 RF/IF, its output level is higher than
that of the MAIN Output route by 20 dB.
