6.7 Program Operations
This program enables continuous measurement of correction items of the transmitter
and the receiver of the DUT selected by the user. Continuous measurement of up to
four units is enabled for measurement of the receiver, and performing preliminary cali-
bration of the level of the signal generator to be used is also enabled.
See the following sections for procedures for starting measurement of each measure-
ment module. The figure in the circle [ ] in the text refers to the number of control item
on the Initial Menu Screen shown in Fig. 6-4.
6.7.1 Measurement of Transmitter
The measurement of the transmitter performed by this program involves the use of a
power meter to select a power sensor in accordance with the output level set for each
DUT model and direct connection of the power sensor to the output terminal to mea-
sure the output level of each frequency. When the Main and Aux outputs are selected
at the same time, a message requesting switching of the connection is displayed follow-
ing the completion of measurement of the Main output. Follow the instructions below
to perform measurement of the transmitter.
(1) Select the equipment name of the DUT from the Test Device box of section [8].
The equipment that is to be the target of measurement of the transmitter can be
either of the two models, the MT8801B or MT8802A.
(2) Select Transmitter from the Measured Type box of section [2]. This enables
the address numbers of only the DUT and the power meter in the Address Num-
ber box of section [5] to be modified.
(3) Select Continuous Mode to continuously measure both output terminals, or
Item Selected Mode to measure only the output terminal selected, from the
Measure Mode box of section [4]. When Item... is selected in this section,
selection of each output terminal in section [6] is enabled.
(4) When Item... is selected in (3), select an output terminal to be measured from
section [6]. This causes the name of the data output file for the selected items to
be displayed in section [13].
(5) Select Settings –– Serial Number in section [1], and input the serial number of
the DUT. Input of up to 8 alphanumeric characters is allowed. See 6.6.3 Inputting
Serial Number for more information on the input of the serial number.
(6) When MT8801B is selected in (1), selection of Option 05 (High Power Rx)
of section [7] is enabled. Check this section if option 05 is mounted on the DUT.
Note that the output level setting of the DUT varies according to the setting of this
section.
