5.8.4 Software installation
5.8.4.1 MT8802A main unit
1. Power-OFF
2. Set bit 0 of the DIP switch to ON. (installable even at OFF)
3. Insert FD0 of the MT8802A main unit in the drive.
4. Press BS + Power-ON. After the FD0 access started, release the keys. (The
progress status is displayed on the bottom of the screen.)
5. After message File not found appears, replace the FD0 with FD1, and press the
F1 key. (Installation continued)
6. When the message Loading ... done. appears and a long buzzer sounds, the in-
stallation is completed.
7. Power-OFF
5.8.4.2 Measurement option
In the MT8802A, the same measurement option can only be updated. The operation
procedure below is important to add an option. Take care to perform this procedure for
adding an option at user side.
1. Power-OFF
2. Set bit 0 of the DIP switch to ON.
3. Insert the FD of measurement option in the drive.
4. Press Copy + Power-ON. After the ANRITSU logo appears on the screen, release
the keys. (The progress status is displayed on the bottom of the screen.)
5. After the installation is completed, start processing is performed automatically. At
the first installation or ATA card formatting, however, message File not found
appears on the screen and the system cannot be started normally. In this case, press
Power-OFF once and install the Demod DSP common module described in para.
5.8.4.3 below.
5.8.4.3 Demod DSP common module
The Demod DSP common module is added newly to the MT8802A.
1. Power-OFF
2. Set bit 0 of the DIP switch to ON. (Installable at OFF)
3. Insert FD0 of the MT8802A main unit in the drive.
4. Press Step DOWN + Power-ON. After the ANRITSU logo appears on the screen,
release the keys. (The progress status is displayed on the bottom of the screen.)
5. When the message Loading ... done appears and a long buzzer sounds, the in-
stallation is completed.
6. Power-OFF
