7.6 Operation Procedure
7.6.5 Inputting Programmable Attenuator Calibration Factor
The “Attenuator Calibration Factor Input Screen” shown in Fig. 7-8 is displayed when
the m easurement of “reference level accuracy” or “log linearity” of the spectrum
analyzer function is selected.
Follow the procedure listed below to input the data.
(1) Enter the serial number of the programmable attenuator to be used in the item
[3]”Serial Number” in Fig. 7-8. A maximum of eight alphanumeric characters
can be inputted.
(2) If the data for the serial number entered in paragraph (1) above are already regis-
tered, the registered information is displayed.
On the other hand, if no relevant data are registered; the current date and time
are displayed in items [4] and [5] in Fig. 7-8. In this case, the cursor moves to
item [6] “Input Data”, and item [2] “Cal. Data” is switched into the standby state
for data entry.
(3) Check the data displayed in item [2] “Cal. Data”, and click the relevant cell to
change the data in Fig. 7-8. The information for the cell appears in the item [6]
“Input Data” , enabling changes to the setting.
(4) Input all the calibration data in “1 dB Step” and “10 dB Step” in Fig. 7-8. Input
the absolute value for each attenuation amount.
(5) Check each the set item, and click the item [7] “OK” button in Fig. 7-8. A mes-
sage prompting the confirmation of whether to save the information, as shown in
Fig. 7-19, is displayed similarly at paragraph 7.6.4 (5) regardless of whether
changes were made to the data.
See paragraph 7.6.4 (5) for more information on the processing performed by
each button in the message box.
