for MS2038C.
20. Press the Freq hard key and then the Center Freq soft key.
21. Enter 2399.851 and then press the MHz soft key to set Center Freq to 2399.851 MHz.
22. Wait until the Trace Count displays 2/2.
23. Press the Marker hard key and then the Peak Search soft key.
24. Record the Marker amplitude reading at 2399.851 MHz in Table A-27 for MS2036C, in Table A-51 for
MS2037C or in Table A-78 for MS2038C.
25. Determine which signal is larger (signal at 2399.851 MHz or signal at 2400.151 MHz). Use the larger
value for “max” in the following formula to calculate the TOI value:
TOI = –20 + [(–20 – max)/2] dBm
Example Calculation:
Assume max = –90 dBm, then TOI = –20 [(–20 – (–90))/2] = +15 dBm
26. Record the calculated value into the Calculated TOI column in Table A-27 on page A-14 for MS2036C, in
Table A-51 on page A-27 for MS2037C or in Table A-78 on page A-41 for MS2038C.
