In a Network with a DHCP Server
If the network has a DHCP server the IP address is determined following the steps below.
The IPBS’s MAC address can be found on the label on the box and on the label on the
backside. The IPBL’s MAC address can be found on the label on the box. The hexadecimal
numbers (xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx) represent the MAC address.
Note: Make sure to use the LAN1 port for the IPBL.
Note: In order to determine the IP address it is necessary that the computer is connected to the same
LAN (broadcast domain) as the IPBS/IPBL.
Determine the IP address following the steps below:
Note: If the IPBS/IPBL has been used before, it must be restored to factory default settings by
performing a long hardware reset, see Reset Using the Reset Button

power supply cable and connect it again.

Open: text field.

C:\>nbtstat -R
For IPBS1: C:\>nbtstat -a ipbs-xx-xx-xx
For IPBS2: C:\>nbtstat -a ipbs2-xx-xx-xx
For IPBL: C:\>nbtstat -a ipbl-xx-xx-xx
Where xx-xx-xx should be replaced with the last 6 hexadecimal digits of the MAC-address.
3. The IP address is displayed in the command window, see the white frame in figure below.
