Tracklinks
Anumberoftracklinks(7)makeupthetrackchainas-
sembly.Eachlinkassemblyconsistsofaright-handand
aleft-handlink.ThetrackpinishollowwithCaseLu-
bricatedTrack(CLT)chains,bushings,andseals.Each
linkassemblyisboredatbothendstoholdthepinsand
thebushingthatconnectthetwolinks.Thebushingisa
pressedtintoeachlink.Apinisinsertedthroughthe
bushing.Thenextsetoflinksispressedontothepin.
Trackadjustergreasetting
Thetrackadjuster(8)isagrease-lledhydrauliccylinder
usedtomaintainoradjusttracktension.Addgreaseor
removegreasefromthetrackadjustertochangetrack
tension.
Trackshoes
Thetrackshoes(9)providetractionandotationforthe
machine.
Trackguides
Thetrackguides(10)correctlyalignthechaintotheidler
andsprocket.Theguidesalsopreventthechainfrom
deviatingofftheidlerandsprocket.Thefullrockguide
optionhelpspreventrocksanddebrisfromenteringbe-
tweenthefrontrollerandtheidler,andbetweentherear
rollerandthesprocket.
